A member of the ruling APC and the Minister of State Labour and Employment, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has been accused of buying tribunal judgments against candidates of the Labour Party, especially Hon. Amobi Ogah.

Speaking in a press conference on Wednesday, at the Labour Party National Secretariat in Abuja, the party’s National Youth Leader, Kennedy Ahanotu, claimed that Onyejeocha is also fraternizing with Lamidi Apapa led faction of the Labour Party and fueling crisis in the party.

“Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha is having an unholy alliance with some expelled members of the Labour Party, led by Lamidi Apapa to ensure that crisis continues to rock our party.

“Onyejeocha is fighting a personal and proxy war against the party” Ahanotu said.

According to the party, Onyejeocha’s loss to Hon. Amobi Ogah at the 2023 National Assembly polls, is a bitter pill to swallow and she has therefore, vowed to use all her connections to ensure that Ogah’s declaration by INEC is upturned.

Ahanotu also accused the minister of sponsoring the controversial Kano federal high court judgement which had supposedly sacked all candidates of the Labour Party, including Abia state governor, Dr Alex Otti.

According to Ahanotu, Onyejeocha is eyeing the speaker-ship of the house of representatives, and has vowed to remove Hon. Amobi Ogah who she sees as her only stumbling block.

“Onyejeocha had worked tirelessly to ensure that the tribunal declares her the duly elected member to represent Isiuakwato/Umunneochi federal constituency of Abia state, by turning the rules of the election on the head. With her unlimited access to funds, it wasn’t difficult for her to get Amobi Ogah sacked by the tribunal” Ahanotu added.
