Gov. Nwifuru Urge His Commissioner To Forgive A False N3bn Whistleblower | READ WHY

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has ordered the immediate release of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Publicity Secretary, Mr Chima Nwoba, from detention.

Nwifuru made the disclosure on Sunday during a Holy Mass at the Government House Chapel, Centenary City, in Abakaliki.

He told the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Oguzor Offia-Nwali, to temper justice with mercy, and consider standing down the case he has with Chika Nwoba.

The governor equally implored the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Mrs Grace Umezurike, to heed the court’s ruling regarding Chika Nwoba’s bail and oblige by signing as surety to ensure he meets his bail conditions.

Nwoba had been in detention since February after writing a petition to the Economic and financial crises commission, EFCC, against the commissioner for commerce and industry, Offia-Nwali over alleged embezzlement of N3 billion meant for empowerment.
