OPINION: OBANIKORO, DIAMOND BANK AND THE ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT CLOWNS- By. Ferdinand Ekeoma

0

In the last 72 hours, Abia state government and her agents have engaged in the most primitive campaign of calumny against the APGA governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti, to the extent that many intelligent and discerning citizens who feel terribly ashamed and embarrassed by the show of ignominy and gross irresponsibility by kpeazu’s men, have taken it upon themselves to educate these clowns in power, while intelligently defending the eminent banker, Alex Otti.

According to Abia state government and her agents, a former Minister of State for Defense, Mr. Musliu Abanikoro had while under cross examination in a matter that bothers on withdrawal of the sum of N1.2 Billion Naira allegedly used to prosecute the governorship election of former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, claimed that he issued a verbal directive to Diamond Bank for the release of the said money into a company account without authorized signatures.

For Ikpeazu and his men, the alleged claim by Obanikoro was an indictment on Otti who was then the GMD/CEO of Diamond bank.

The Okezie Ikpeazus neither sought to find out from the court whether there was a witness exhibit from Otti nor waited to hear his verbal response when requested by the appropriate authority, since he isn’t a defendant in the suit, rather one of the many witnesses whom EFCC is seeking their assistance to effectively prosecute their case, they went to the market square and danced naked to the disgust of their kinsmen and sane spectators; all in a bid to defame and destroy their political nemesis, Alex Otti.

Because the Ikpeazu led government is harbouring a bunch of political desperadoes who once patronized different demonic shrines just to be appointed into useless political offices in Abia, they ignorantly assumed that Alex Otti, the excellent First Class Banker would exhibit their brand of foolishness and desperation in a bid to please one customer, called Musliu Obanikoro. Otti was and is too big for such a blunder; if the lousy Ikpeazu government doubt, they should ask their Papa Ukwu, T. A. Orji who tried the trick on Otti and failed woefully, hence his anger.

For the sake of the reading public, especially Otti’s supporters, and those who love, respect and hold him in high esteem, please kindly note that the then GMD/CEO of the bank, and now your incoming governor, Dr. Alex Otti OFR insisted and ensured that all banking guidelines were fully adhered to before the transaction in question was executed, of course he couldn’t have done otherwise.
Attached herewith is the duly signed document that authorized the withdrawal.

It’s shouldn’t shock anyone that Okezie Ikpeazu is working from behind the scene to treacherously ensure that Ayo Fayose, the man Ikpeazu once described as his mentor, is sent to jail. It’s in tandem with Ikpeazu’s character , after all he secretly wanted to betray his presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar by going to negotiate with the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhele in secret to support Buhari, if not that Oshiomhele rejected him, knowing that he’s a political liability, he would have still been laughing with Atiku and the PDP while plotting to destroy them.

If the notorious Okezie Ikpeazu led government can dedicate ten percent of the energy it puts in trying to defame Otti, in rendering responsible leadership to suffering Abia masses, then Abia wouldn’t be in this sad situation.

Now that Alex Otti has responded to the challenge from Okezie Ikpeazu and his men by proving, with documented evidence that he adhered to every CBN guideline in approving the release of the said funds, can Ikpeazu and his men, for once tell Abians what happened to the following :

1. The over N300 Billion received from FAAC as Statutory Allocations for the State and the 17 LGAs

2. N14.150 Billion in Bailout Fund

3. N10.05 Billion First Tranche of Paris Club Refund

4. N5.7 Billion Second Tranche of Paris Club Refund

5. N5.7 Billion Third Tranche of Paris Club Refund

6. Oil Derivation Fund running into Billions

7. Agricultural Loan

8. Billions of Illegal Loans secretely secured.

9. Let Ikpeazu also tell us what happened to the following MOUs he claimed to have signed:

MOU for Abia Monorail? MOU for Abia airport?
MOU for shopping complex at Etche field
MOU for Abia waste recycling projects?
What happened to MOU for the 5 Billion shoe factory in Abia? What happened to the MOU for Abia Pharmaceutical city in Osisioma?
What happened to Mother and Child Hospital in Umuahia?
What happened to the MOU for Abia Medical city in Oboaku? What killed the Oboaku city project?

If Ikpeazu believes he did not steal a large chunk of these funds, why did he fail to execute any of these projects?
If Ikpeazu is denying stealing Abia dry, and hiring sycophants and attack dogs to sing his praises and attack his opponents, let him kindly tell us why civil servants and pensioners are dying in droves, while Ikpeazu and his men are amassing wealth blindly and drinking themselves to stupor?

Alex Otti had while tearing Okezie Ikpeazu into pieces during the governorship debate at Abia hotels, educated him that banks don’t function like Abia state government where Ikpeazu, the helpless godson is remote-controlled to the point of confusion and failure by his godfather. In the banks, especially when Otti was in charge, decorum, decency and discipline took the front burner in the execution of bank activities.
Ikpeazu and his boys should stop embarrassing themselves in the name of trying to discredit Otti, because their nauseating attacks won’t stop the failed governor from being roundly defeated come March, 2nd, 2019.
