PISE-P Supports A New Enugu City Under Governor Mba – By Mike Ukoha
This new world will, among other things, be a premium destination for investments, businesses, living, and tourism, among others.
Expressing happiness, Kalu commended the visionary Governor of Enugu State for excellence and thoughtfulness in the ultramodern cityscape and planning.
He believes that with what the Governor has put in place, he has shown that a new Enugu State is possible under his watch.
The Deputy Speaker also used the opportunity to canvass for support of all, especially the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo to ensure that the New Enugu is realized as a destination for Nigerians, stating that PISE-P strongly supports the great initiative of the State government.
The Deputy Speaker while describing the new Enugu world as the beginning of modern Nigeria, is convinced that when completed, it will not only put the State up on world map through its developmental strides, but create massive employment for our teeming unemployed youths and help to reduce crimes both in the State in particular and South East in general.
The new Enugu city seats on 10,000 hecters of land off Enugu-Abakaliki road, which traverses Enugu North, Enugu South, Enugu East, and Nkanu West LGA’s of the State.
Speaking during the flag off of 17 kilometer roads and other infrastructure which marked the beginning of constructions, Governor Mba hinted the new Enugu city is in keeping with his campaign promise he made to the people of the State.
The idea is to bring back the city’s glory as one of the top three (3) States in Nigeria.
When completed, the city will have a dedicated power project, power plant, a central public utility which will be provided by the government, and access to a high-speed internet system.
