The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has unveiled how telephone users can secure their smartphones.

The NCC is the regulatory authority for the telecoms industry in Nigeria.

The smart tips for smartphone security given by the NCC include;

  1. Only download software and content from official app stores and content vendors.
  2. Don’t root your phone to download illegal, pirated or cracked applications.
  3. Don’t use hacked social media or content streaming accounts.
  4. If you sell your devices or send it for repairs, fist remove the memory card that holds your data.
