ABIA: Otti Flags Off 11.5km Nunya-Eluama-Isuikwuato Road, With 12 Months Completion Timeline | SEE PHOTOS

The executive governor of Abia State Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR, today flagged off the 11.5 kilometers Nunya-Eluama-Isuikwuato Road project to be handle by CCECC.

The flag off which took place at the Enugu/Port Harcourt Express Road towards the Nunya axis, witnessed the presences of the creme de la creme of Isuikwuato Local Government Area.

While speaking during the flag off, Governor Otti extracted commitment from the CCECC team leader that the project will be concluded within 12 calendar month and must be concluded based on all specification stated in the contract paper.

The governor revealed that his administration is very strategic in road construction and that this Nunya-Eluama- Isuikwuato road project will help commuters, help in off loading farm produces to the city centers and also will attract investors to this location because of the high contest for space in the capital city.

“With this road, people may decide to live here, go to work from here and investors may also decide to site their industries here. We are making sure there is even development in Abia State”

While contributing the former Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika Retired, eulogized Governor Otti for the laudable project. He posited that he is more excited because of the consistency on specifications of the project reeled out by both the Commissioner of Works and the team leader of CCECC.

“As an engineer myself, I am happy with the consistency of the project specification reeled out by both the Commissioner of Works and the CCECC. Anytime I am home, I will drive in to join you in inspecting the road and make sure that the construction company maintains the specification agreed” he state.

Also speaking the Honorable Member Representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly Honorable Lucky Udoka Johnson, appreciated the governor for the project and assured the governor of every support he needs legislative wise.

“This is the time governance; I will give the governor every support he needs to achieve the new Abia which all of us need” he stated.

The Mayor of Isuikwuato Local Government Area Air Vice Marshal (Rtd) Chiwendu Onyike, thanked the governor for the project and equally assured him of every support he needs and also the contractors.
