TRAGEDY: AROCHUKWU OKADA RIDER SHOT DEAD, PASSENGER FLEE WITH MOTOR BIKE (PHOTO)

It was a big tragedy in Arochukwu Kingdom as an Okada rider carrying a passenger is shot dead by his passenger as he flee with the motorcycle.

According to the story, this pathetic event happened on the night of Wednesday 4th September 2019, when one Charles, an Okada rider who hails from Isimkpu Village Arochukwu was said to have picked a passenger up from Arochukwu heading to Ito Clan in Akwa Ibom State.

The story has it that as the victim and assailant was moving, on getting to Nkwunaabu/ASCETA axis, his passenger brought out a gun and threatened the Okada rider to release the motorcycle for him.

When it was evidence that the Okada rider was not ready to release the bike to the bandit, he pulled out a gun and shot him in the head, just as he flee with the bike.

Speaking in an interview, an indigene of the Kingdom Mazi Benjamin JEK Okoroji lamented the development, saying that such has never happened in the area before.

He however was optimistic that the culprit would be brought to book in no distance time, adding that the gods of the land will ensure that justice is done.
