QATAR 2022: 32 Countries In Battle For Football Supremacy| SEE FIFA DRAW LIST
32 countries will be represented in Qatar as the battle for global football supremacy continues.
World football governing body, FIFA on Friday, 1st of April unveiled the full list of nations who will be donning their national colours at football’s biggest houseparty in November.
In the 28-day action packed event, four groups featuring the 32 nations will contest for the priced world trophy and glory.
In Group A;
Hosts, Qatar have been drawn against three-time World Cup attendees, Ecuador, reigning AFCON champions, Senegal and Van Dijk Netherlands who hope to clinch their first victory.
In Group B:
One-time winners, England have been drawn against Iran, who hope to break the perpetual group stage exit jinx, USA and either Wales or Scotland or Ukraine.
In Group C;
Lionel Messi’ Argentina were drawn against Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Lewandowski’s Poland.
In Group D;
Defending champions, France contend with Peru or UAE or Australia, Denmark and Tunisia.
In Group E;
One-time victors, Spain were paired against Costa Rica or New Zealand, Germany, Japan.
In Group F;
Belgium have been paired with Croatia,Morocco and Canada who are making a return from a 36-year hiatus.
In Group G;
Five-time champions, Brazil have been drawn against Switzerland, Serbia and Cameroon.
And in Group H;
Ronaldo’s Portugal are paired against Uruguay, South Korea and Ghana.
The Word Cup takes place between 21 November and 18 December in Qatar, with the hosts playing Ecuador in the tournament’s opening game.
