How Corp Member Was K!lled While Jogging In Kaduna |READ DETAILS
A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), identified as Grace Chalya Silas, was in the early hours of Thursday, stab-bed to death in Kaduna state by suspected armed robbers.
According to the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, Silas was stabbe-d while exercising along GRA road in Barnawa, Kaduna South Local Government.
The suspects who were on bike, stopped and wanted to steal her phone but she resisted before onee of the robbers stabb-ed her with a sharp knife.
“She was sta-bbed by some elements while she was doing her body exercise along GRA road in Barnawa this morning.
“The suspects who were on a bike, stopped and wanted to snatch her phone. While they were struggling to snatch the phone, one of the suspects used a sharp knife and stabb-ed her.
“When the police received the information, she was quickly rushed to Harmony Hospital, where she was later confirmed dead by the doctors”.
“Since the incident was reported to the police, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Yusuf Garba, held an emergency meeting with the top hierarchy of command over the matter. We are already in touch with NYSC in the state.
“The CP has directed the Barnawa DPO and Area Commander, to immediately hunt for killers of the Corps member and fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act.” the PRO said.
