A Nigerian man, Michael Kelvin Igube has replied critics who questioned why his new wife identified as Mercy, had a frowning expression on their wedding day.

The duo had their white wedding on Saturday December 18, 2021.

Commenting on the wedding pictures shared by the groom, some persons queried why she had a frowning face, suggesting that she was forced to get married.

He explained that his wife lost her mother and two sisters in a road accident while coming to celebrate the couple’s wedding. He added that it took the grace of God for the wedding to hold and not get postponed.

The bride’s family had sent her forth after she married traditionally on Saturday, December 4. She was all smiles in her traditional pictures.

The mother and daughters were buried on Dec. 20.
