The governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), in Abia State, Engineer Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor has assured Abians that his administration if elected, will adopt a different approach to solve the numerous challenges in the state.

Nwafor who was interacting with members of a business community under the aegis of Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) on Wednesday, harped on the need to get the Ifebora Basin project done which he said will mark an end to series of flooding ravaging Ariaria and it’s environs.

Nwafor noted that he feels the pains of traders in Ariaria who have been displaced owing to flood as he was once in their shoes.

“For Ariaria, getting the IFEBORA BASIN project right is key to solving flooding within Ariaria and its environs. Leadership harvests every form of empathy.

“I had shops at Ariaria that were demolished, our containers and businesses operate within the same environment where people complain about multiple taxation, our trucks are also subjected to terrible wear and tear, I do not feel any less worried about the welfare of workers or the growing number of hospitals with substandard facilities….. ” he said.
