He assured that his government if elected, will employ all the contacts and social capital it has to upgrade General Hospitals within Abia North to care for Abians in the rural area.

Engineer Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor said;

Beyond recovering our General Hospitals and equipping them to provide secondary health care services, our State is in dire need of a Tertiary Health Institution within the Abia North District.

We are aware that the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Umuahia, has the capacity, if properly engaged, to use a General Hospital like Umunna General Hospital Igbere as an extension of FMC.

The government we propose, shall activate the right contacts and social capital to ensure that the facilities in select General Hospitals within Abia North like Umunna General Hospital are upgraded to service the tertiary care needs of rural dwellers. Umunna General Hospital has the capacity to cater for Igbere, Item, Alayi, Ugwueke, Ezeukwu and sister communities of Abiriba, Nkporo, Ohafia and Arochukwu.

We are progressives. We are Young Progressives Party. We pay attention to the tiniest details. We value partnerships that uplift the living standard of Abians”.
