Abia NSCDC Nabs A Cyber Crime Suspect “Alozie Frank” |READ DETAIL

Operatives of NSCDC, Abia State Comman, Umuahia on Wednesday,14th October, 2020 at about 1300hrs arrested a Cyber Crime Suspect. The suspect who gave his name as Alozie Frank (M)(40yrs) was arrested at Aba, Abia State following a coordinated tracking operations which was successfully carried out by the Forensic Unit of the Command.

Preliminary investigations revealed as follows:

1. The suspect confessed committing the crime.

2 The crime was committed online and the amount involved in the fraud that led to his arrest was N350,000.00 only.
3. The suspect has been involved in cyber crime with many in his list of victims.
4. Upon arrest, the suspect quickly smashed his phone, broke his Sim Card and chewed it to scuttle full scale investigations.
5. The complaint was first lodged at the Cross Rivers State Command of NSCDC where the crime was committed.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been handed over to the Cross Rivers State Command of NSCDC for further investigations and possible prosecution.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, the State Commandant- Mr. Vincent Ogu (JP) regretted the attitude of ” get rich quick” among young people and advised them to engage in legitimate means of livelihood. According to Mr. Ogu ” let me seize this opportunity to advise the general public to resist the temptation of get it quick syndrome which has exposed many to the nefarious activities of fraudsters. Again, for young people out there, I advise you to engage yourselves to legitimately profitable ventutures or relocate from Abia as the Forensic Unit of the Command has been fully motivated and empowered to fight cyber crime squarely “.

Finally, the State Commandant charged the good people of the State to always provide useful and timely information to the Command and other Sister Security Agencies in the State to enable us serve them better.
