PHOTOS: SENATOR MAO OHUABUNWA SUPPORTERS MARCH THE STREET OF UMUAHIA, DEMAND FOR JUSTICE

The tension arising from the 2019 Abia North Senatorial election seems not to be over as hundreds of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa supporters under the Follow Better Organization led a protest today to Abia State Government House and also to Abia State House of Assembly complex demanding for justice to be done in order to return Senator Mao Ohuabunwa back to the Senate.

Based on what we gathered from the protesters, they stated that the Abia North Senatorial District election which saw former Abia State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu emerge as the Senator of the zone, was characterized by malpractices by the All Progressives Congress. They maintained that records revealed that the just concluded 2019, March 23rd Presidential and national election was stolen away from the Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.

The Director General of Follow Better Organization, Hon Eke ,who led the protest ,maintained that Abia State is  a PDP State as every candidate who participated in the 2019 deserves to be carried along in time of need.

He called on government and relevant stakeholders to stand against injustice by fighting for the Senator whom they said needs to reclaim his mandate for service to the people of Abia North Senatorial Zone.

He added that Mao’s impact in the Red Chambers has proven beyond reasonable doubt that Abia North needs his quality representation in the National Assembly.
