Nigerians have continued to react to the spinal cord accident sustained by Mr Wisdom Uchechi Benjamin while trying to reconnect the electricity belonging to the community of HRM Eze Eberechi Dike.
In their separate opinions, they are calling out Eze Eberechi Dike for failing to take responsibility , “Does he feel nobody can hold him responsible for the spinal cord injury sustained by Mr Wisdom Benjamin while working for him and his community,? Is he assuming the guy has no one to represent him In court ? If the right thing should be done and appropriate legal process initiated against him and his community, is he not aware of the embarrassment it will cause him and his community ? . At the end , the court will award damages against him still ” one said.
” Can’t people be sensitive to realities and understand basic essential things needed for conflict resolution, must everything be settled through the court? ” the man added . ” For those of us who are privy to that story and have considered it , the truth be told , 7pm is outside the official working hours of The man as a staff of EEDC, he has nothing climbing a ladder but from the story Eze Eberechi Dike was the one who forced him to climb, he should take full responsibility of the treatment and recovery expenses of Wisdom Benjamin ”
AFNEWS had shared a video with you last week concerning Wisdom Uchechi who alleged that under the instruction of Eze Eberechi Dike he tried to reconnect the Electricity belonging to Mgboko Ngwa Amaise Autonomous Community but was electrocuted . Though he survived the electric shock but he fell down from the ladder he had used to climb up and broke his spinal cord since 18th August 2015 . The painful aspect of the story is that he was abandoned by the traditional ruler and the community that forced him out of his house by 7pm to reconnect the village electricity disconnected by EEDC Officers.

Eze Eberechi Dike had deposited only #50,000 on the night of the said accident and disappeared, it took the intervention of EEDC for the traditional ruler to re-surface at the hospital where he deposited additional #250,000 and never visited the hospital again until now. This alleged intentional negligent on the part of Eze Eberechi Dike and the refusal of his community to take care of Wisdom Benjamin have continued to generate wide spread condemnation from Nigerians who saw the video that has been trending on AFNEWS website for a week now.
Wisdom Benjamin has left the hospital where he was admitted back to the house where he is expected to continue his recuperating process , this is after over four years stayed at the hospital, within this fours years , he had lost his parents to death as a result of his condition, his wife left him and run to another man leaving him with a little girl who as at 18th August 2015 when the accident happened was only 8 months.
This trending video continued as a result of the circumstances behind it to generate reactions from Nigerians, another concerned Nigerian who spoke to AFNEWS on a condition of anonymity expressed worry over the news , he described the accident as being unfortunate ” how will you in the name of being His Royal Majesty call a man out from his house by 7pm to come out to reconnect a light that he was not the person who disconnected it , what is the country turning into ? Is Benjamin not supposed to be at home with his family resting since it was beyond official working hours ? Why on Earth did Eze Eberechi Dike call him out again that night ?, For me he is responsible for whatever happened to Wisdom Benjamin. He should take full responsibility of it in alliance with community ”
” Is it not pure wickedness that HRM Eze Eberechi Dike and the Community would abandoned him at the hospital , ? who are they expecting to take care of his post recovery period” , a man who might have been resting at home happily with his family and 8 months old baby was called on phone with a threat to arrest him if he fails to reconnect the electricity at 7pm , even when he was complaining that he was not the one responsible for the disconnection, you threatened to arrest him because you have the contact as the chairman of Abia state Council of Traditional Rulers and Chairman South East Traditional Rulers Council as at then . now he has sustain spinal cord injury and you left him . It’s is wickedness , let him Continue to attract the press attention he is getting ” he concluded.
An attempt was made as at the time of filling this report to reach out to the family and friends of wisdom Benjamin to know whether or not Eze Eberechi Dike has made effort now to reach out to the family but a family member who spoke to us said ” we have not seen Eze Eberechi Dike since we returned from the hospital, he has not communicated to us nor reach out to Wisdom Benjamin who is desperately in bad need of care and attention ” .
I wonder why a respected Eze like Eberechi Dike and his people would beat a child and expect him not cry . Wisdom Benjamin is a native of Umukereke village in Osaa Ukwu Autonomous Community,Obingwa LGA Abia State while HRM Eze Eberechi Dike is the traditional Ruler of Mgboko Ngwa Amaise Autonomous Community in Obingwa LGA.
What it means is that Wisdom Benjamin is a nearby kinsman of Eze Eberechi Dike, they are both from the same LGA . Infant an Ngwa man just like the traditional ruler .the question many followers of this trending video are asking is ” if you can be this heart hardened against a fellow Ngwa man, how will you treat a non- Ngwa man, if you can be this mean to your brother . Where is your conscience ? Or has it been sealed with a hot iron that people’s plight and suffering does not mean anything to you again? ”
In the trending video Wisdom Uchechi Benjamin was soliciting for help from outsiders and government sources while you the main architect of his predicament keep quiet. According to him ” his hope and faith right now is on the Government and good spirited Nigerians , he seeks for help and support in whatever capacity to assist him with his recovery, most importantly accomodation from outsiders who are not responsible for his predicament while you Eze Eberechi Dike keep quite and feel untouchable , after all are you not a traditional Ruler. ?
You think it is only in United State (US) that people protest Against injustice , are you saying you would have spent only #250,000 if Mr Wisdom Uchechi did not survive the accident ? this your heart hardheartedness is actually what if not reconsidered will attract the protests you are seeking for and by then you would have generated enough unnecessary press attention to yourself.
