The immediate past governor of Rivers state and the minister for the federal capital territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has claimed that even though he is working for President Bola Tinubu of the APC, he remains a bonafide member of the opposition PDP.

According to Wike, he is not working for the All Progressive Congress neither is he a member of the party, rather he is working for Tinubu to achieve his visions for Nigeria.

The minister stated that Tinubu means well for Nigeria and is looking for “people who will support him to achieve the renewed hope he promised Nigerians.”

“I feel at home working for the government of Tinubu. He has given me that courage. He is a man who means well for the country”.

“He (Tinubu) is looking for people who will support him to achieve the renewed hope he promised Nigerians.

“I’m not here to work for a party. I’m here to support the president who has confidence in me; to help him deliver the renewed hope and I owe nobody any apology” Wike said when he appeared on Channels Television on Wednesday.
