JUNE 12: Uphold The Tenets Of Democracy – Abia LP Chairman Tells Leaders
The Abia State Labour Party Chairman, Mr. Ceekay Igara, has charged leaders and all at the hems of the affairs of government, to uphold the principles and provisions of democracy and also ensure that they abide by the Rule of Law in the discharge of their duties.
Igara who doubles as the Chairman of the Council of Chairmen of the Labour Party, in his June 12, 2023 Democracy Day message, noted that abiding by the Rule of law would make Nigerians receive their expectations from elected leaders without impositions.
The chairman charged Abians and Nigerians at large to stand firm in the defense of their voice.
The Labour Party Abia state chairman’s message read;
On behalf of Labour Party in Abia State, I want to thank God for witnessing another democracy day. I want to encourage everybody, especially those in government to uphold all the tenets of democracy. We must abide by the charges of democracy and allow the rule of law to prevail over the economy and if that is done, Nigerianas will be receiving all their expectations from elected candidates without any imposition. Once again I want to thank all Nigerians, I encourage you to stand firm to defend your voices. God bless Nigeria.
