H0T: Rep Member, Ugochinyere Names ‘Governors’ Sponsoring Insecurity In South East
On the heels of the attacks and killings recorded in some states in the south east following the purported one week sit at home ordered by Simon Ekpa, the member representing Ideato Federal Constituency of Imo state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, has accused some governors of the southeastern states of sponsoring insecurity in the region.
Ugochinyere while appearing on Arise TV’s Morning show monitored by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER on Monday, July 10, alleged that the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma and other south eastern governors are using imported vigilante groups to effect the illegal sit at home order in the region, causing mayhem on citizens.
“Hope Uzodinma is fueling insecurity in Imo state.

“It is not about giving matching order on TV, it is about how genuine you are to see that there is peace in Imo state” Ugochinyere added.

When asked to name the other governors allegedly fueling insecurity in the south east, Ugochinyere declined.
The Rep member recalled the attacks on him and his properties in January, prior to the 2023 election, and restated that the Imo state government led by Governor Hope Uzodinma sponsored same.
Last week, unknown gunmen in the name of effecting sit at home order for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), wreaked havoc in Imo, Enugu, and Anambra states.
