BREAKING: Tinubu Swears In Senator George Akume As SGF | READ MORE
Following the appointment of Senator George Akume last Friday as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), by President Bola Tinubu, the former has been sworn into office.
Akume was sworn in by Tinubu while he also took an oath of office and allegiance on Wednesday, June 7, at the council chamber.
Officials present at the swearing-in include;
Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President , Ahmed Lawan; Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and the wife of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume.
Recall that Tinubu had on Friday, also appointed the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his new Chief of Staff while the former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, was appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff.
