Owo Church Attack: Tinubu Visits Ondo, Donates Money To Victims | READ IN FULL
A 2023 presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday, visited Owo in Ondo state to commiserate with victims of the Sunday church attack.
Tinubu who visited the crime scene, pledged a N50 million support to the victims and their families and N25 million to St Francis Catholic Church Owo.
Earlier in his speech at the Palace of Olowo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye, Tinubu condemned the attack adding that “there is no place for such hatred and wanton taking of innocent lives in our country.”
He urged the Federal and state governments to work in synergy to address the situation.
Responding, the Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu assured that his administration will ensure that justice is served.
Others who visited Owo alongside Tinubu are; former Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Chairman of TETFUND, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, former APC National Vice Chairman, Southwest, Chief Pius Akinyelure, former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Nuhu Ribadu and former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Otunba Femi Pedro.
