Former Anambra State governor and the 2023 presidential aspirant of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has revealed why he visited Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.

Pictures had surfaced yesterday, showing Obi with Wike who lost out at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries and Vice Presidential ticket slot of the party.

There were speculations that Peter Obi visited Wike in his search for a running mate. Recall that Obi submitted his campaign DG, Dr. Doyin Okupe as a placeholder who would be substituted later.

Taking to his twitter handle, Peter Obi wrote;

“Earlier today, I visited Port-Harcourt, to confer with H.E. @GovWike on vital issues of national interest. – PO”
