(OPINION)THE ALEX OTTI INTERVIEW: A FEW TAKEAWAYS  – By. Ferdinand Ekeoma

0

Let me begin by congratulating the Abia governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance- APGA- Dr Alex Otti for his brilliant performance on national TV this morning- Thursday, 10 January 2019.

Let me also sympathize with Okezie Ikpeazu and his entire crew who quickly reacted like a loose cannon after being hit below the belt by their nemesis, Alex Otti.

Dr Otti was able to demonstrate most convincingly that he has a fail-proof plan for the development of our dear state. His program covers every aspect of our life- economy, housing, urban development and renewal, sanitation, sports and very importantly- education.

The plans presented by Otti during his interaction with the anchors of Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily were well detailed and very comprehensive. Unlike the wishful thinking and shallow plans made available by his rivals, Dr Otti’s programs incorporates financial outlays, timelines and deliverables.

Beyond any iota of doubt, Dr Otti was able to demonstrate that he would not be another accidental public servant. Beyond the impressive program of governance which Dr Otti marshalled out, he has the pedigree, exposure and contact to be a “different governor.” He’s not a timid sectional biggot who’s talking equity, but doesn’t know its meaning.

Our duty as Abians is to start mobilizing support and voters for the Otti movement. If you live in Abia or outside it, start calling your family and friends, your neighbours your colleagues to get their PVCs ready for Otti on March 2nd.

Abians have suffered long enough and the duty of salvaging her rests squarely with all of us. We have a responsibility to take back our state, snatch her from the leeches and the drinkers of “blood tonic” who have held this state on its knees for the last 20 years.

We must- all of us- you and I- civil servants, teachers, pensioners, students, unemployed youths and future leaders- get active in this most important campaign to save Abia. This task is important for us and those coming after us. We cannot afford to leave Abia in this sorry state.

From the reactions of governor Ikpeazu’s men, it is clear that the government is already jittery and paranoid about the imminent emergence of Dr Otti to undo all their works of darkness.

Watch how they quickly twisted Dr Otti’s sincerity concerning his genealogy to continue their silly game of playing divisive politics. I have news for governor Ikpeazu and his men: Abians want food on their table, they want jobs, they want to see Aba restored to its pride of place, they want healthy, clean environment, and they care less about the petty politics of division and acrimony.

Abia workers are going to vote for the man who has developed a master plan to see their salaries and entitlements paid as at when due. The pensioners are going to ask their children to vote for a compassionate leader who would make sure they do not spend their last days in regret and pains.

Sincere Abians are rational enough to choose between demonstrated competence and manifest administrative disaster.

May Abia win on the 2nd of March. May our glory be restored. May Alex Otti and APGA cruise to victory.

Watch out tomorrow for part two, and point by point analysis of the interview, and find out why Okezie Ikpeazu and his infant blood tonic irritants are very angry.
