OMBUDSMAN: Justice Kieran Chukwuemeka Charges Abians To Seek Redress Through Complaint Commission

 

 

The office of the Public Complaints Commission Abia state, has called on aggrieved Abians and residents to always seek redress for administrative anomaly through the commission.

The Ombudsman Justice Kieran Chukwuemeka Nwankpa (Retired) who stated this during a press briefing at the Abia State Government House in Umuahia on Thursday 15th February 2024, called for partnership with media practitioners with the view to further enlighten the public especially aggrieved citizens who desire to seek redress over administrative anomalies.

He revealed that the search for justice against administrative injustice committed by ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government, public and private companies, led to the establishment of Public Complaints Commission captured under the Company and Allied Matters Act.

Justice Nwankpa (Retired) further explained, that their mandate is to receive, investigate and resolve complaints lodged by individuals or aggrieved parties against any tier of government institutions, Incorporated private organizations and their officials.

 

He equally posited that he will initiate investigation into matters that affect the public, conduct researches in ministries, departments and agencies of government with the objective of preventing or stopping threatening administrative trends and proffering solutions to governance challenges.

 

He concluded by calling on aggrieved Abians to come forward and seek redress redress over administrative anomalies both in the public and private organizations.
