BREAKING: Super Falcons Promoted In FIFA World Rankings
Nigeria’s national women’s football team, widely recognized as the Super Falcons, has been promoted in a recent World Football Rankings by the International Federation of Association Football, FIFA.
Star studded Falcons who occupied the 41st, now sit on the the 39th position, moving up two places.
The international football governing body released its latest rankings today, Friday 25th march 2022 on its official website to the delight of sports faithfuls.
Last month’s triumph over the Lady Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire with a 3-0 aggregate win went beyond securing the sportswomen a place in the Women Africa Cup of Nations Finals to playing a pivotal role in their global promotion.
Asisat Oshoala-led squad also retained the top spot in the continent with counterparts, Cameroon, Ghana and South Africa following in the second, third and fourth positions respectively.
