JUST IN: Okey Ahiwe, Top PDP Stalwarts, Arrives Abia Guber Election Petition Tribunal

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP’s) governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship election in Abia State, Chief Okey Ahiwe, has arrived the tribunal ahead of today’s sitting.

The PDP/Ahiwe (petitioners), INEC/Labour Party and Alex Otti (respondents), are billed to adopt their final written addresses in the petition filed by the petitioners, contesting the declaration of Dr. Alex Otti as the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.

The Tribunal is also expected to give ruling in the application filed by the PDP seeking a contempt of court order on INEC Chairman.

Others present in court are; PDP state chairman, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere, former secretary to the state government, Barrister Chris Ezem, the member representing Obingwa west state constituency, Erondu Junior Erondu, former member representing Umuahia east state constituency in the 7th Abia state house of assembly, Hon. Chukwudi Apugo, among others.
