Pensioners in Abia state, under the umbrella of Concerned Abia Pensioners, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, appeared differently, beaming with smiles as they paid a solidarity visit to the campaign office of Dr. Alex Otti, the governor-elect.
The pensioners who had repeatedly protested 45-month unpaid pensions and gratuities, while visiting Otti, appeared on white apparels against their usual black and black outfit.
Speaking to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, the pensioners, led by their coordinator, Chief Emeka Okezie expressed confidence that Dr. Otti will fulfil his campaign promise of clearing the backlog of pensions owed the senior citizens by past and present administration.

“Our earnest desire, happiness and love for coming to this gathering in the office of our governor elect, Dr Chioma Alex Otti; we are happy with him; he has addressed the issue of pension, he is a man of God, as he has said it, so shall it be” Okezie said.
They pledged to support Otti’s administration, stating that “we are going to corporate with our governor elect.”
