The Labour Party Chairman in Abia state, Comrade Ceekay Igara, has said that Abians are disappointed with the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the state.

Igara who is also the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Chairman in the state, featuring on AFTV Programme ‘Focal Point’ on Thursday, said; “almost everybody is disenchanted with the government of the day”.
The chairman however noted that one of the best things that has happened in the political eco-system of the country, is the Electoral Act 2022 which has given the masses more power than individual politicians.
“you are going to see a surprise in this dispensation” he added
According to Igara, half of the members of PDP, APC and APGA, are members of the Labour party.
He lamented the poor state of roads in Abia, maintaining that most roads tagged federal roads are being used by Abians and others and the state government is supposed to make them motorable.
“who are those suffering it? Are they not Abians? Igara queried. “it’s affecting the economy of Abia state; let’s not go into dragging federal or state roads.”
He noted that the revenue generated from the roads if made motorable, would go into the state government’s coffers and not the federal government.
He decried that majority of traders who buy goods from Aba the commercial city of the state have switched to Onitsha and Akwa Ibom owing to bad roads.
Igara, noted that candidates of the Labour Party, remain the best, adding that the party is determined to pay salaries, pensions, among other transformational agendas.
