An exclusive information gathered during an ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER ONLINE TV political interactive program called FOCAL POINT, has revealed that two times governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti OFR will be in the race again come 2023 but has not formally declared his intention.
This revelation came when the media aide to Otti, Ferdinand Ekeoma was a guest on the Focal Point program that has large viewership online.

He disclosed that the former banker will run for the governorship position of Abia state again, because nothing has changed in the state in every sector.
Ekeoma stated that his principal is on a rescue mission. A mission to rescue the state from the maladministration that has plagued the state over the years. He took a swipe at the present PDP led government in the state headed by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu PhD.
The media aide argued that despite the huge revenue that accrues to the state from the federal confers and internally generated revenue, there is nothing on ground in Abia state to justify this huge revenue inflow to the state. He highlighted that Umuahia the capital of the state is still a glorified village, he also decried the poor conditions of Aba.
Ferdinand Ekeoma said that the issues which propelled his principal Dr Alex Otti to contest for governorship in 2015 and 2019 are still unresolved. He highlighted some of those issues as non- payment of pensions and gratuities to retirees, non-payment of workers salary in the state, lack of infrastructural development and general maladministration in the state. He opined that for almost seven years of the Ikpeazu led PDP government in Abia state ,it has not been able to complete any significant projects ,he gave example of Faulks road in ABA ,which he said the government has been unable to fix despite huge funds that has been pumped into the project.
On the issue of zoning, Otti’s aide said though zoning is not bad, but that Abia citizens should be more concerned about who will deliver the state from the present bad condition. He opined that what Abians want is a competent leader and not a rational leadership. For him what matters is the ability of the candidate to entrench good governance irrespective of where he or she comes from.
Mr Ekeoma refuted the speculations that his principal Dr Alex Otti is planning to return to APGA. Recall that Dr Otti’s name featured prominently in the 80-man transition committee list released by the Anambra governor -elect Prof Charles Soludo of APGA. This has fueled speculations in some quarters that the ex-banker maybe planning to return to his former party.
The APC chieftain’s media aide however silenced these rumors by stating unequivocally that his boss is not planning to leave the APC. He asserted that the relationship between his principal and the governor- elect of Anambra is that of friendship and brotherhood anchored on competence base on the fact that the duo are from the same professional background, thus his inclusion into the Anambra transition committee.
Mr Ekeoma also down played the crisis currently rocking the APC in Abia State. He stated that there is no conflict in Abia APC, he described what is happening in the party as disagreement among members of same family which he said will be sorted out in due cause.
