BREAKING: Court Orders End To Emefiele’s Detention, Grants Him Bail | READ DETAILS

The Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted bail to the former governor of the Central Bank (CBN) Godwin Emefiele.

The court while ruling on Wednesday, ordered that Emefiele should no longer be kept in detention without trial but should be released to his counsel and must be produced in court when needed.

The presiding judge, Justice Olukayode Adeniyi, also ordered him to deposit all his travel documents with the court’s registrar.

The substantive motion on notice as well as the preliminary objection, were adjourned to November 17, 2023 for hearing.
