With transfer activities in club sides still ongoing, Serie A giants, Inter Milan are reportedly close to signing Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku on a season-long loan deal.
This serves as the aftermath of Lukaku’s revelation to the Italian media in December.
The Belgian disclosed he was unhappy with life at Stamford Bridge- a disclosure that has gone on to elicit speculations on the striker’s future.
After the 29-year-old netted three goals during the run-in, including a brace against Wolverhampton Wanderers, many concluded the forward had made a u-turn on his decision to leave West London.
However, it soon became apparent that the 29-year-old was angling for a return to Inter, the club that he left in a £97.5m transfer last summer.
According to Italian journalists Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, the relevant parties have settled on an agreement for a loan switch to occur as soon as possible.
