The Minority Whip/Member representing Arochukwu State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha has attracted over N300,000 donation to Nzuko Aro Women’s Wing on the occasion of their 27th General Assembly/Annual Mass Return/Rally 2019 edition held in Arochukwu.
Speaking at the Skills Acquisition Centre, in Arochukwu, Hon. Ukoha explained that he is passionate to the plights of women of Arochukwu L.G.A, adding that the women are pillars of success.
The lawmaker used the medium to call for a collaborative efforts for the betterment of Aro Women, noting that their prayers and advise is mostly needed.
He used the medium to enumerate on his achievements so far which include attraction of an ongoing project at Aggrey Primary School Ibom Arochukwu, as well as other landmark things he has done across the Constituency, pointing out that more dividends of democracy will come soonest.
Hon. Ukoha lauded Arochukwu Women for all they have been doing especially for the elderly in our society, stressing on the need to assist the aged ones around us, to enable them have a sense of belonging.
Earlier, the President Nzuko Aro Women’s Wing, Lady Bright Elekwa had enumerated the efforts made by the women and used the occasion to call for assistance for the elderly and a better welfare for Aro Women and Arochukwu in general.
During the occasion, those who donated to the Course of Nzuko Aro Women’s N45 million Elderly Home Project through the Member representing Arochukwu State Constituency in the House, includes the Federal Lawmaker representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole, the Deputy Speaker/Member representing Ohafia South Abia State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, the Member representing Bende North State Constituency, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu who was physically present at the event, the Member representing Aba Central Hon. Abraham Oba, Member representing Ohafia North Hon. Mandela Obasi among others.
