ABIA: AP Guber Candidate, Bishop Nwankpa Interacts With PFN, Unveils His Plans
The Accord Party (AP) governorship candidate in Abia State, Bishop Emeka Nwankpa on Friday, met with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Abia state chapter.
The governorship candidate while speaking to delegates from the 17 local government areas of the state, assured that he is not contesting the governorship position for his personal needs rather to fulfil the assignment given to him by God.
Nwankpa said he is not a politician whose interest is on the number of years in office and the gains attached, rather he is a statesman who has the interest of Abians at heart.
“I am not a politician; I am a statesman. A politician fights for the next four years but a statesman fights for the people”.
“I have come to fix Abia. We cannot boast of anything; education, health, nothing. I have come to change Abia. First I’ll start from Aba.
The governorship hopeful said If there are good roads in Aba and youths are empowered and provided with the required amenities, the state will generate improved Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Nwankpa however assured that his government will not only concentrate on Aba but will reach out to other parts of the state.
According to Nwankpa, the next governor of Abia state must have integrity, conscience and be a good manager.
He expressed confidence that he can manage the resources of Abia state with his experiences in the private sector, run an inclusive government.
Nwankpa maintained that Abia has money to fix sectors that are not working however, the problem of Abia lies with the leaders who according to him, shares the money among themselves.
“Give me Abia money and I will use it well” he pledged.
