ABIA 2023: CAN Endorses Bishop Nwankpa As He Vows Not To Step Down


The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has endorsed the candidacy of Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, the governorship candidate of Accord Party For the 2023 election in Abia state.

The Association pledged their unfettered support for Nwankpa on Friday, September 30, when Nwakpa paid a consultation visit to members of CAN, Abia state chapter at the Presbyterian church of Nigeria, Solid Rock Parish, Umuahia.

He assured that he will transform Abia state with the available resources, adding that he has no reason not to deliver Abia as he has no godfather and cannot go against his promises to God.

 

Responding to questions during an interactive session with CAN members, Bishop Nwankpa restated that Abia has the required resources especially in Aba, to develop all sectors of the state.

According to Nwankpa, if elected, he will sort out challenges Abians are facing with excessive taxation, touts, bad road networks, among others.

 

He also assured that he will service the debt of Abia with the available resources in the state and revive all the moribund industries in the state to create employment opportunities.

 

Nwankpa stated that he will use his contacts to bring in investors adding that he will ensure that security is guaranteed to ensure that investors can move in and out freely.

When asked if he will step down for any other Umunneato governorship candidate if pressured by traditional rulers from that extraction, Bishop Emeka Nwankpa made it clear that he has no plan to step down for anyone. He maintained that he is the only one with the sincere heart and desire to change Abia State.
