Abia Warriors Will Make You Proud – Club Chairman, Coach John Obuh Assures Gov. Alex Otti

The newly appointed chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club Coach, John Obuh, has assured Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti OFR, that he will not regret his appointment as Abia Warriors will make him and Abians proud.

The World Cup coach who stated this during his visit to Gov. Otti’s country home in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, appreciated the governor for finding him worthy and giving him this great opportunity to participate in the growth of sports especially football in Abia State.

“I have been involved in national team football development from under 17 to under 20 for over 20 years, This is a great opportunity for me to contribute to the development of football in my state and I appreciate this opportunity”

“I will assure you that you will not be disappointed, we will make you proud,” Obuh said.

While speaking during the visit, the Convener United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Dr Amb. Osita Offor AKA Ultimate Commander, thanked the governor for finding members of UAAP worthy of appointment into his administration and assured him that they would deliver.

Reacting to the visit, Governor Alex Otti made it clear that the appointments were based purely on competence and track record.

He went further to posit that sport is very important to his government, which is why he appointed people who can man both Enyimba and Abia Warriors football clubs.

Otti revealed that because of the importance of sports, his government will revamp Nsulu Games Villages and make it viable. He urged Coach John Obuh to key into this and contribute towards the development of sports in the state.
