Business owners were today locked out of their offices in and around St. Micheal’s axis in Aba, Abia State by Ministry of Physical, Urban Planning and Infrastructural Development Agency under the Abia State government.
Business and house owners were warned not to tamper with the seal of the state government agency to aviod running fowl of the law under SECTION -8 of ABS -UR (B & PA LAW Nos 4 of 2015 as amended.
When AFNews interacted with some of the business owners , they stated that the sealing was related to state government property levy which they have not been able to meet up to.
One Mr. Emeka Chukwuka questioned the reason why the state government will charged a building N400,000.00 as Tax levy for a year when the business environment in Aba at the moment is not going very well.
Other business owners queried why their business premises will be sealed when it is in the place of their landlord to pay the levy not them that rented the place.
AFNews reporter called the lines attached on the Sealing Notice of the government agency, no one picked.
