2023 Abia Central: Its Time To Redefine Representation In Abia Central – Sam Onuigbo Makes Formal Declaration

Hon. Sam Onuigbo, the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives has announced his next political move ahead of 2023 elections.

 

The Rep member on Friday, May 6, formally declared his intention to run for Abia Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the declaration held at Dangrete Hotels Umuahia, Onuigbo noted that 2023 is the time to redefine representation in Abia Central and make it more people-Centred.

 

He assured that if given mandate, he would replicate ” the principle of leadership-as-service imbued with the EAR (Effectiveness, Accessibility and Responsiveness) political philosophy”.

 

Sam Onuigbo said;

 

“Having set a standard and positioned Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency on the path of legislative excellence, my yearnings to ensure that purposeful, visionary and people-Centred leadership is firmly enthroned in our country, one corner at a time, compels me to answer a higher call and take this gospel of effective, accessible and responsive representation to a larger sphere.

” It is in view of this that I hereby make myself available to serve as the Senator representing the great people of Abia Central Senatorial District”.

 

He noted that every step he would take if elected, would be on a needs- basis and in accordance with available resources, ensuring that no village, clan or local government will be rated above the other.

 

” And together as a people, we will again redefine representation for this great senatorial district at the Senate of the Federal republic of Nigeria and put in place a standard that will grow our district decades after we are done” he added.

The aspirant noted that 2023 is a viable time for all round development and growth anchored on visionary leadership and representation.

 

” We cannot afford to make mistakes as doing so will set is back decades and harmfully impact on our children and children’s children . That is why this election is critical and one that we must approach devoid of sentiments” Onuigbo charged

 

He maintained that he is the best and most qualified candidate to represent Abia Central.

 

“I am the best candidate for this job. Not only am I visionary, effective, responsive, and accessible. My wealth of experience in Progressive leadership makes me eminently qualified.”

 

“It is important to place on record that I have conceived and implemented mammoth/colossal projects for the good people of great Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency of Abia state during my time as their representative at the House of Representatives”.

Onuigbo charged the people to give him their votes, remain peaceful and let love lead during the elections.

 

Responding, Abia State APC Chairman, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, represented by Hon. Grant Okwu noted that Sam Onuigbo has all it takes to represent Abia Central.

 

“Sam Onuigbo have done marvelously well. We have no doubt that you will do more now that you are aiming higher. We are confident that you will deliver. We want to see more of you” Ononogbu stated.

 

He charged the people to work with Onuigbo to secure the votes and see more dividends of democracy.

 

Highlight of the event include Sam Onuigbo displaying his Nomination and Declaration of Interest Forms to the people of Abia Central.
