The Apostle made this revelation on Sunday, June 27 during a Revelation Service themed; ‘Breaking the Covenant of Death’ with bible reading from Genesis 6:5.
Teaching on Covenant, Apostle Udah pointed that one need not to be present before a covenant can affect him, adding that covenant is greater than family altars.
He noted that praying for family foundation is good, but without contending against oral covenants might not yield the desired result.
“Covenant is an agreement reached by someone or on behalf of someone or a family. Covenants are in two folds; written and oral. You need not to be present before covenant can affect you. Covenant is something greater than family altar. Oral covenant is strong to stop people’s speed and make sure no one in the family have a testimony even if they are connected with people that can help them.
“Dearly beloved, ignorance and not lack of faith has killed many Christians. It is indeed good to pray for family foundation but doing that without contending against oral covenants might not give you what you want. There are families that have been covenanted not to live long (Psalm 102:20) or succeed just like the house of the Rechabites (Jeremiah 35:5-19).
“You will find men and women from such homes striving and work hard but they have no evidence because of the covenant. Longevity is your birth right. Death is not only when a man dies, a man can be dead financially, spiritually and in other areas of life (Genesis 6:3, 15:15). God has a desire that you will die at a good old age and prosper just like a palm tree planted by still waters (Psalm 1:3).
“Most beloved, there are things you must avoid if you want to live long. Learn to avoid over excitement and making public all you do in the social media (2 Kings 20:12). Avoid announcing yours plan before executing them. Be wise not to let people working for you into your bedroom. Protect your privacy. Be careful of those you bring close. Strangers don’t cause you pain but those that are close to you do.
“Learn to manage your temper. Don’t respond via text when you are angry. Hide your source of happiness. Keep your business secrets close to your heart. Don’t expect people you have helped to show you kindness. It is not wise to upload pictures of your properties in the social media. God did not create you to live a fake life. Do all you can to avoid pressure. Health is wealth. Beloved, faith does not stop you from going for check-ups by eating well with proper exercise.
“God is opening a door for you. That fear you have will not come to pass. Stay connected to grace and you will be disconnected from evil covenant” Umah Udah said.
