A front line gubernatorial aspirant in Abia State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Otisi Ebitu Ukiwe, on Saturday, visited Prince Benjamin Benedict Apugo, alias BB Apugo, a BoT and National Caucus member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The visit was made immediately after Otisi, son of Ebitu Ukiwe, a retired Commodore in the Nigerian Navy who served as the de facto Vice President of Nigeria under the military regime, formally declared interest to run for the governorship position in the state come 2023 under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The declaration was held at the party’s state secretariat along Azikiwe road in Umuahia.

Speaking during the visit, the governorship aspirant noted that he came to inform Apugo of his aspiration and eagerness to transform the state.

Responding, BB Apugo described himself as an elder statesman who is open to every aspirant with good intentions for the state irrespective of party affiliation.
