The Abia State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Obinna Don Norman, has stated that the crisis rocking the state’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the hands of God and not a mistake.
“What is happening in PDP can never be a mistake” he stated.
According to Norman who was re-elected unopposed as the chairman at the congress, the crisis in Abia PDP will continue until the ADC takes over governance in 2023.
“ADC has the best opportunity right now to govern Abia State” he said.
Norman accused the PDP of acquiring loans running into billions of Naira which are not being properly accounted for as civil servants, and pensioners are still being owed.
According to Norman, ADC is the only opposition party existing in the state.
“ADC has no godfathers, but Abians who really want change because they are tired of their future being played with” he said.
Meanwhile, the PDP seems divided following the decision to zone the 2023 governorship ticket to Abia North and Abia Central.
