We’ll Change The Bad Perception Of Abia Ministry Of Justice – Attorney General, Uwanna Vows | WATCH VIDEO

 

The Attorney General of Abia State cum commissioner for justice, mr Ikechukwu Uwanna has assured that under his leadership, the bad perception of the ministry of justice being a “ministry of injustice” would be changed.

 

Uwanna while featuring on AF-TELEVISION Programme “Focal Point” said Abians should expect a change in the judicial system of the state as there is a total overhauling of the ministry of justice currently ongoing.

 

The Commissioner added that the ministry is building parameters to monitor their activities and access themselves in the long run and also ensure that the paradigm in the judicial system is changed and people get due justice,.

“we are doing a total overhaul of the ministry; we are starting from the scratch. Dr Alex Otti’s mantra is to rebuild Abia; for us to rebuild Abia, we need to go to the foundation, drop a new master plan.

 

“we are developing a new strategic plan for the ministry that we can use to monitor and evaluate ourselves as we proceed” he said.

Uwanna assured that the ministry of justice will do its beat to ensure a more stabilized environment in the state, rid of criminals which will in turn encourage investors to come into the state, thereby generating more revenue for Abia state.

 

“People will have more confidence to invest in Abia State because what we do here is a clear nexus to how investors will come in because if you are not able to get cases out of the system, you have lots of instability with criminals roaming around; no investor would want to come and invest.

“We realised that there is a clear nexus between what we are doing in this ministry and the revenue generation capacity of the state. We are trying to ensure that we are more efficient so that we can contribute our beat to ensure that the state is more efficient and an investment destination for everyone.

 

“We want to turn around the perception that the ministry is “a ministry of injustice” he added.
