WAFCON 2022: Super Falcons Jet Off To Morocco

Ahead of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON,Nigeria’s top flight women’s team, Super Falcons of Nigeria have landed in host country, Morocco.

The title holders are billed to face title rivals, South Africa, Burundi, and Botswana in Group C.

The players and contingent departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Monday morning aboard Royal Air Maroc.

They will then embark on a two-hour road trip to Rabat where they will play all their group games.

The Super Falcons will face title rivals, South Africa, Burundi, and Botswana in Group C.

Randy Waldrum’s charges will confront the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in their first game on Monday, July 4.

The four semi-finalists in the competition, which will run from July 2 to July 23, will compete at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
