We Have Awarded Ohafia, Abam, Okobo, Arochukwu Roads For Construction – Gov. Otti

The jinx of no easy and accessible road to Arochukwu may soon become broken as the Executive governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, has revealed that his five months old administration, has awarded the road for construction.

Fielding questions from newsmen on Sunday, during the second edition of his media interaction at the banquet hall, Government House Umuahia, the governor revealed that his administration has also awarded Ohafia, Abam and Okobo roads which are in deplorable conditions.

He added that they are in talks with the federal ministry of works to ensure that the federal roads in that axis are fixed.

Other roads include the Nunya-Isuikwuato road, which he said, his government has received three designs for, adding that construction will begin before November 2023 ending.

“we are moving speedily; it is a difficult terrain; hopefully before the end of November, work would have started” Otti assured.
