The Chief Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Professor Godswill Obioma is dead.
He was said to have slumped in his bedroom in Minna, Niger State, on Monday, May 31, after an official trip to Abuja and was rushed by his wife and other relatives back to National Hospital, Abuja where he eventually gave up the ghost.
Professor Godswill Obioma hails from Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, and was the 7th Registrar of the Council. He assumed office on May 14, 2020.
Circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown but assassination as earlier published, is ruled out.
