Police Arrest Suspects Involved In Removal Of 16-Year Old Boy’s Eyes | SEE PHOTOS

Police in Bauchi State have arrested three suspects for allegedly plucking off the eyes of a 16-year-old boy, last week.
AFNEWS had reported that the victim, Uzairu Salisu, was lured into a bush on pretense of menial work on a farm but was attacked and his two eyes were removed. READ HERE
Spokesperson of the state police Command, Ahmed Wakil, in a statement, on Monday, said the prime suspect, identified as Isaac Ezekiel, 32, of Rafin Zurfi area of Bauchi Metropolis was arrested, while the two eyeballs were found in a calabash in his house.
The suspect, he said, has confessed to the crime.
He said;
“A prompt search of his house by the police led to the recovery of Uzairu Salisu’s eyeballs. Exhibits recovered from the suspect include: two human eyeballs in a calabash, cable wire used in perpetrating the heinous act and a traveling bag containing some native medicine.
“Apart from Ezekiel, other suspects arrested in connection to the crime are Nensok Bawa ‘m’ 38, of Kabwir District Kanke Local Council of Plateau State and Yohana Luka (aka Doctor Samu), ‘m’ 52, of Golbong Village Amper District in Kanke Local Council of Plateau State.”
Wakil added that findings revealed that in April 2022, the prime suspect, Isaac Ezekiel conspired with the two other suspects to conceive the idea to commit the atrocity of getting the eyeballs of a human being.
“While on June 24 at about 0900hrs, the principal suspect, Isaac Ezekiel lured one Uzairu Salisu ‘m’ 16, of Jahun Bauchi Metropolitan into a nearby bush for a casual job on his farm, the prime suspect used a cable wire to strangulate Salisu into a coma and used a knife to remove his two eyes for a ritual purpose.
“Investigation is in progress, after which, the suspects will be charged to court,” he said.
