LIST OF NEWLY APPOINTED ABIA STATE EDUCATION SECRETARIES

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD has approved the appointment of the following persons as Education Secretaries in charge of Local Government Education Authorities in the 17 Local Government Areas of the State –

1. Aba North – Hon. Gladys Nwamuo

2. Aba South -Mrs. Uloma Ikpeazu

3. Arochukwu – Mrs Patricia Nwankwo Obasi

4. Bende – Elder Okorie Ogbonnaya

5. Ikwuano – Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Ehilegbu

6. Isiala Ngwa North – Mr. Felix N. Opara

7. Isiala Ngwa South – Lady Odochi A. Odor

8.Isuikwuato – Mr. Nnaoma Ugenyi

9. Obingwa – Mrs Perpetual Ngozi Wokota

10. Ohafia – Mr. Martin Ogbu

11. Osisioma Ngwa – Dr. Mrs. Ngozi C. Njoku

14. Ukwa West – Mrs. Olive Nwamaka Ukor

15. Umunneochi – Mrs Chinyere Elem

17. Umuahia South – Mrs. Nice Ihechi Nwosu.

The Governor has further directed that the newly appointed Education Secretaries be sworn in by their respective Local Government Transition Committee Chairmen.
