Governor Alex Otti reveals a new partnership with the Federal Government to reconstruct the Ariam/Usaka Ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene Road, signaling significant infrastructure and economic growth for Abia State.
In a significant move to enhance the infrastructure of Abia State, Governor Alex Otti has announced a partnership with the Federal Government to reconstruct the Ariam/Usaka Ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene Road. This announcement was made on Sunday, July 14th, during a church service at Christ Embassy along Library Avenue, Bank Road Umuahia.
Governor Otti, addressing a joyful congregation, reassured them of the government’s commitment to this vital project. “I want to reassure the pastor that we are doing something about the Ikot Ekpene-Ariam/Usaka all the way. Just like we are partnering with the Federal Government on the Airport Project, which will be advertised very soon, we are also partnering on the Ikwuano Road all the way to Akwa-Ibom, and I can assure you that very soon, work will start there,” he stated.
In his usual manner of visiting churches unannounced, Governor Otti emphasized his purpose for attending the service: to worship and thank the church for their prayers and support in the journey of rebuilding Abia State. He highlighted that his administration does not discriminate against any denomination, as the body of Christ is united. “So, this is an opportunity to thank you all for the support you gave before, during, and after the election. The body of Christ was united in saying enough is enough,” he noted.
Governor Otti also took the opportunity to express gratitude to God, citing 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase,” emphasizing that it is God who has made all achievements possible.
Pastor Chika Alex of Christ Embassy praised Governor Otti, stating that Abia State, known as God’s Own State, had been neglected for too long by past leaders. He expressed confidence that God has chosen Governor Otti to bring the state into the limelight. “Abia State is a blessed State… that is why it’s called God’s Own State. It is prophetic, and I told them in this church that the word will come to pass. And God is using you (Governor Otti) to fulfill that prophecy,” Pastor Alex proclaimed.
The pastor also predicted that Governor Otti is being prepared by God for responsibilities beyond Abia State, highlighting that the governor’s efforts are attracting investors from other regions, thereby strengthening the state’s economy.
Governor Otti was accompanied at the service by several dignitaries, including Hon. Emeka Obioma, Hon. Chinasa Anthony Onyemere, Pastor Caleb Ajagba PhD, Mr. Chinedu Ekeke, Apostle K.C. Wiper, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukegbu, Hon. Iheanacho Obioma, and Mayor of Umuahia South Obike Ejike Nnokiri, among others.
