According to him ” it was the inglorious era of incompetence and extortion championed by Augustine Ehiemere and the highhandedness of its former national leadership, that pushed many people away from APGA only for the Ex- National Chairman of APGA to deploy some disgruntled former State Working Committee (SWC) members to insult aggrieved leaders at a press conference recently”.

Hon. Nkem Okoro therefore apologized to those he said were insulted and provoked leading to their exiting the party, saying APGA was formed as a platform for responsible leadership and not to defraud people “as the former national leadership did in Imo, Abia and Anambra states. Furthermore, I want to caution those strategising to use the party to defraud the people again to forget the idea, as that would not be allowed to happen again.”
