The women of Uburu Ihechiowa community in Arochukwu LGA, were elated with joy when the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, identified with them on their August Meeting Celebration.
Speaking at Uburu Ihechiowa Community Hall on Thursday (August 26th, 2021), the Lawmaker described himself as one of them, stating that Uburu is his second home due to his cordial relationship with the the people.
The Lawmaker described the Women as the backbone of every family, stressing that the roles women play in the society remain quite huge.
He used the opportunity to highlight some of his numerous achievements within the space of time.
Hon. Ukoha, charged the Women on the need to be productive and to form partnership as well as cooperatives to the ever changing societal and economic realities.
Also, he informed them that plans have been concluded for his office to finance the sinking of a borehole in Ihechiowa Community, while urging the Women to embrace the ongoing partnership of the Abia CSDP, for more community development in the area.
He supported the Women with huge cash gift for their celebration.
Earlier, the President of Uburu Ihechiowa Development Women Association, Mrs. Cordelia Ogbonna, thanked the Lawmaker for finding time to identify with them.
She lauded him on his numerous activities particularly, for always identifying with women all over and prayed God to continue to bless him.
