G5 Govs: Ikpeazu Is Coming Back To Us – Ayu Makes Revelation | READ IN FULL

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu has claimed that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state will dump the G5 governors led by his Rivers state counterpart, Nyesom Wike and return to the central body of the party.

Recall that Ikpeazu is one of the aggrieved governors of the PDP, who have been demanding for the resignation of Ayu for equity’s sake.

Speaking at Atiku Abubakar’s presidential rally held in Markudi, Benue state on Monday, Ayu said Ikpeazu visited him in his house on Saturday, February 4, 2023 and he (Ikpeazu) agreed to work for the success of the PDP.

Recall that the Abia PDP on same Saturday, held a re-run of it’s governorship primary election, where the governor’s preferred aspirant, Chief Okey Ahiwe emerged winner to replace late Professor Uche Ikonne.

According to Ayu, the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, who is a member of the G5 governors, has nowhere to go. He noted that the only option Ayu, who is also running for a senatorial position has, is to join hands and rebuild the PDP.

In Ayu’s words;

‘What we have is some of our members who are aggrieved but we are appealing to Governor Ortom to come back and join us to rescue the country. Governor Ortom has nowhere to go.

“We have already resolved our issue with Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu. I was with him two days ago and he has agreed to work for the success of our party.”

“Vote for all PDP candidates; vote for our presidential candidate, the only messiah is the PDP candidate. One week is enough for us as a party to resolve our problems.”
