How 18-Year-Old Yahoo Boy, Others, Killed Motorcyclist In Ogun

18-year-old internet fraudster (Yahoo boy), Samson Odunayo, have been arrested for killing a motorcyclist, Bashiru Umaru in Ogun State.

Odunayo was paraded on Monday, October 18, alongside his co-conspirators, Sodiq Awokoya (18), and Jimoh Rilwan (17).

According to Odunayo, Sodiq lured him into criminal activities and they were on their second operations before they were arrested. He revealed that their first operation, they collected the sum of N3,500 from their victims but did not kill him.

He also added that he accepted the 2nd operation because he was in urgent need of N500 data subscription for his ‘Yahoo yahoo work’.

On how they killed the motorcyclist, Odunayo explained that he flagged down the motorcyclist. Unknown to the cyclist, he had informed his colleagues who were lying in wait in a bush with cutlasses and other weapons.#

Getting to the spot, he asked the motorcyclist to stop as he has gotten to his destination. A s he was waiting to collect his money from the passenger, Sodiq dashed out from the bush and hacked him with a cutlass. He resorted to choke him to death as he was still wriggling in pains form the cut.

He added that they searched his pocket and took the N5,500 they found on him.

” It was Sodiq that lured me into the criminal activities. It was our second operation before we were arrested.

“The first operation we carried out, we didn.t kill our victim, we only collected N3,500 from him.

” I accepted to embark on the operation in order to get money for data and subscribe to the internet to do yahoo yahoo. I have not killed anyone before” Odunayo said.

The suspects were arrested as they were about to sell the motor cycle of the deceased.
